Our Products and Quality
Aggregate mining is mainly for supplying construction industry. Different sizes of aggregates and sand are used for road construction, buildings, bridges, railways, dams etc. Boulders are used in backwater protection wall in Port construction.
United Granites and Metals produce aggregates and sand. Our specialisation is on washed sand which is rarely produced in the state. Quality VSI crushers and classifiers are in operation for the best SAND.
Washed M and P Sand
We have installed a VSI Crusher Barmac 9100SE series with dual drive as tertiary unit after Jaw Crusher C130 and Cone Crusher Nordberg HP4. The complete plant is of M/S Metso, an international unit. The rock-on-rock crushing action produces quality aggregates and sand. The aggregates quality is mainly measured as its elongation & flakiness indexes. A cubic shaped aggregate with sharp edges are ideal for concrete and bitumen mix.
During above crushing process, more quantities of sand below 5mm size are produced. This sand is washed in classifiers removing all clay and fine sand below 75 microns size. The classifier separates smaller articles as P sand and bigger particles as M sand. The qualities of our sand products are equivalent to river sand.
Aggregates
Crushed aggregates of 5-8mm, 8-16mm, 16-30mm etc are stored in Bins (boxes). These can be easily poured into tipper trucks placed below. Products never get mixed up and the customer is ensured of the size offered.
